Description
The Post Tropical Cyclone Report (PSH) is an alphanumeric product summarizing the peak meteorological and oceanographic observations within a Weather Forecast Offices (WFO) County Warning Area (CWA) following a tropical cyclone event. Information contained within the report include highest sustained wind speed, peak gusts, minimum pressure, total rainfall and peak water level along with tornado effects, flooding information and a listing of reported impacts by county. The PSH product is intended to provide the National Hurricane Center and Central Pacific Hurricane Center, National Weather Service Headquarters, the media, the public, and emergency management officials with a record of peak tropical cyclone conditions. This data is then used to formulate other post-event reports, news articles, and historical records.
