Outreach / Education
All Forecast Regions
Solicit feedback on consolidation of the Winter Weather (Precipitation) Warnings . The current suite of Winter Weather Warnings (Precipitation only) includes Winter Storm Warning, Ice Storm Warning and Blizzard Warning. Two options for proposed consolidation will be presented in a survey: Option 1: Reduce the suite to only the Winter Storm Warning. Option 2: Preserve the hazard type in the headline, while still consolidating to one VTEC. The survey will propose 4 Warning headlines shown below. The option will also be available to put forth other headline categories. "Winter Storm Warning for Mixed Precipitation" "Winter Storm Warning for Accumulating Snow" (Note - This would include Lake Effect Snow) "Winter Storm Warning for Significant Icing" "Winter Storm Warning for Blizzard Conditions"
