The Water Resources SPT is seeking feedback on the proposed consolidation of NWS Flooding Watch, Warning, and Advisory products. The Team previously surveyed and received positive feedback for 1) the consolidation of five types of individual headlines associated with "Flood Advisory" products (urban and small stream flood advisories, arroyo and small stream flood advisories, small stream flood advisories, flood advisories, and hydrologic advisories), 2) the consolidation of "Flash Flood Watch" and "Flood Watch" products into one "Flood Watch" product, and 3) the reformatting of all Flood products (except Flash Flood Warning which will be in IBW format) into a "What", "Where", "When" information ordering format. The Water Resources SPT would like to extend this consolidation to include River Flood products in anticipation of Hazard Services capabilities. *[Areal] Flood Watch (FA.A), [River] Flood Watch for Forecast Points (FL.A), and Flash Flood Watch (FF.A) would be consolidated to one Flood Watch (FL.A) product. *[Areal] Flood Warning (FA.W) and [River] Flood Warning for Forecast Points (FL.W) would be consolidated to one Flood Warning (FL.W) product. *[Areal] Flood Advisory (FA.Y) and [River] Flood Advisory for Forecast Points (FL.Y) would be consolidated to one Flood Advisory (FL.Y) product. In addition to the above consolidations, all current and proposed products would transition into the (already surveyed) "What", "Where", "When" information ordering format. Within the current survey, it is proposed that an "Impacts" bullet be added and the "Additional Details" be preserved as optional.
